select from 6 rivers — each with unique species species, current speed, water visibility and weather. The Mountain Stream has fast clear water with trout and grayling. The Ocean Pier is brutal: tidal flow, sharks and massive point targets. Rivers unlock as you score higher on earlier ones.
Each bait has a list of target species it attracts best. Dry Fly works perfectly for trout and grayling. Boilie is the only reliable carp bait. Choosing the wrong bait for the species in that river dramatically increases wait times between bites — read the species list!
Use the depth slider to select where in the water column to species. Surface for trout and mackerel. Mid-water for perch and pike. Deep/bottom for catfish, bream and carp. The cast line and bobber appear on screen to show your position.
When a species bites, a red alert flashes with a countdown timer. Tap HOOK IT! quickly to set the hook. Each species has a separate reaction window — piranha gives you only 0.6 seconds! Miss the window and the species swims away.
Hold the REEL button to pull the species in. Harder species (pike, carp, shark) push back. If you let the progress bar drop to zero, the line snaps. Build a combo by catching consecutive species — each catch multiplies your score by up to ×4.0!
Every river has a target score. Hit it and you clear the river with at least a B grade. Score double the target for an S! Time bonus points reward finishing before the clock runs out. New rivers unlock based on your best scores. This copy is adapted for a separate river-themed edition.
